Commercial Observer is reporting today that Related Companies and Oxford Properties Group will be obtaining a $1.5 billion construction loan from Bank of China and Deutsche Bank to build the 1-million-square-foot Shops & Restaurants at Hudson Yards.

This is very exciting news for the neighborhood, although we will have to wait until 2018 before us Yardies can step foot inside.

What we know at this time is that Shops & Restaurants at Hudson Yards will be seven stories housing both retail and restaurants. There will be over 100 businesses, including Thomas Keller‘s new restaurant.

Also very exciting is the anchor tenant, a 250,000-square-foot Neiman Marcus that will be located on its top three floors. The architecture firm Elkus Manfredi Architects are designing the project and construction began earlier this year in June.
