Not only does Hudson Yards get a new train station and a new park, it also sports a new playground!  The playground’s central feature is a climbable dome that sits atop spongy, colorful paving tiles.  Youngsters can navigate the outsides of the dome using the numerous footholds, or they can climb the rope ladder in the center for spectacular views of the Empire State Building.  The playground also boasts hammock seats, play telephone speakers, three additional rope ladders, and rope lines that mimic monkey bars.  A cloth tarp partially covers the dome, providing some shelter from the hot summer sun.

The playground is part of the third block of Hudson Park.  Enter the playground on 35th Street between 10th and 11th Ave.
