Hudson Yardies aren’t afraid to venture out to other nearby neighborhoods to find out what’s cool.

Reserve, a Bloomberg Brief publication, has come out with its list of must-try bars and restaurants in the Penn Station area.  Here are some of its top picks:

  1. Porchlight:  “A Bar with a Southern Accent.”  And, apparently, a mean whiskey cocktail.  Find it on 11th between West 27th St. and West 28th St.
  1. Keens. A steakhouse with an “America’s Classics” Award from the James Beard Foundation.  Has a stellar reputation and a long wait list on big nights. At West 36th Street near 6th Avenue.
  1. Kirakuya.  Dying for Japanese food?  Kirakuya is your next evening out.  Ramen, sushi, and a sake bar you won’t regret. West 32nd Street near 5th Avenue.
  1. L’Amico: “An American menu with Italian influences” from executive chef Laurent Tourondel.  New to the scene and boasts a mouth-watering dinner menu. Located on 6th Avenue near 30th Street.
